In fact, this joy stayed with them because they continued to see Christ, but in a different way. They saw Him with the eyes of faith, which don’t need the physical evidence of His presence as our Church teaches us. Since our true joy is in God’s presence with us through His Holy Spirit, during the Fifty Holy Days we learn to be joyful because of Christ’s presence amongst us, as well as our presence with Him. This is the true joy that cannot be taken away.

We can only reach forward when we have an ultimate goal, an ultimate purpose. Without having our eyes clearly fixated on eternity, we are just drifting aimlessly through life. It is no wonder that the last words of the biblical love story between God and humanity is aimed at describing the eternal “New heaven and new earth”.

became very commercialized and filled with shopping and gifts. Many families and individuals exchange gifts with loved ones and it’s as if Christmas is all about us and not about CHRIST.
Contrarily, it should be a time for us to prepare ourselves for Christ’s birth in our hearts. Let us remember to live a Christo-centric life rather than an ego-centric life, the difference being who is at the center? Is it Christ at the core of my life or is it my ego?
It’s not about you it’s about HIM.
